Happy 1st Christmas Owen!! This year was a special Christmas for us because it marks Owen's 1st Christmas followed by his 1st birthday. We headed up to Portland on Tuesday after nick got off work half day and were surprised to find that it took us TEN HOURS to get there. We knew that the NW was having quite a bit of snow, but as we entered Salem, we came to a very slow crawl. Although the long drive, Owen did amazing! We turned his car seat forward and he just had the best time ever watching the snow and all the cars. He even bypassed his nap because he was so excited and chatty. He seems to be liking his own voice, although his words are limited to dada and mama. :)
We took him to the mall to see Santa. He is a very easy going child so I figured he wouldn't make a scene sitting on his lap, and he didn't. He just stared at him with a slightly puzzled look on his face. We will just have to see if there is a change next year!
Hey Santa! What's up??

Owen had quite an eventful 1st Christmas. Christmas Eve we were in Gresham with my Dad where Owen opened his first present. He seemed to have no trouble at all ripping the wrapping paper off his presents. We had a great traditional dinner and stuffed ourselves with pumpkin and lemon meringue pies. Edie's homemade tradition. Yum!
Sittin' with Papa Craig opening my 1st Christmas present! :)

Trying to sneak off with Papa's snow globe... Good thing for him it's plastic!

Then... Christmas morning we slept in and opened presents at my mom's. Owen didn't seem to be bothered about opening more presents!! :) Knowing we would be back for Christmas dinner, we made the trip up to Nick's parents house to celebrate Christmas with his family.

This is awesome!! Don't know what it it... but it's cool!!

So much snow!!! What a beautiful White Christmas!!
After eating breakfast with Nick's family, we opened presents and went outside to take a picture with frosty! :) It's funny how growing up in the NW that I can't imagine a warm or even hot Christmas. It's kinda comforting for it to be really cold while celebrating the holidays, and it just made it extra special this year to have so much snow!

A very happy Campos Christmas!

The cutest little reindeer ever!

We were so blessed to be able to go home for Christmas and had such a great time spending it with everyone, well almost everyone we love. My sister and her family are in Virginia and welcomed my new baby nephew Andrew to the family on December 19th. Can't wait to meet him! My brother and his wife are still in England... we miss them tons! Hope you all had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a safe, but splendid NEW YEAR!! XOXO!
