It's been awhile since I have updated anything about Nick and I, and since we have some big news, I'd thought I'd share... and no, I'm NOT pregnant!!! :) Although I know that is what was going through a lot of your minds!! I have both good news and bad news. I guess I'll get the bad news over first. Nick no longer has a job as of March 2. The economy can be the blame for a big part but it is also due to some changes in his job description and things with the company.
And the good news is WE'RE MOVING HOME!!!! To Vancouver, that is. Nick and I are so blessed to have families that have the ability to let us mooch off of them for a couple months!! :) All jokes aside, we really are grateful that we are fortunate enough to have a back up plan and that our families are willing to share their homes... just when they thought no one was coming back!! I am currently working on getting my Washington State dental hygiene license so I can find a closer job to home and not have to drive all over Portland for work. Like most of you know, Nick is a very optimistic person and is not looking at this as a set back, but as a challenge. He is going to start a work path he has been talking about for a couple years now, and is also playing with the idea of finishing his MBA in the fall.
Although our move to Medford, OR has been a lot shorter than we originally planned, we both feel it wasn't a complete "waste." We have met some great people at church and were able to just be our own little family and focus on us. I can't express how great it has been to be able to stay at home and be with Owen full time. Although the task of being a mommy is trying, it is all worth it. I hope the transition of me going back to work, even just part time, will be smooth between Owen and I. I have grown so accustomed of having him at my side (not literally) and hope it won't break my heart to leave him.
So here's to ending one chapter in our book of life, and to starting another!!!

That is big news - on both accounts. Good luck with the move and job searching! Nick has a great resume built up, chances are he'll find something even better.
And now I know when I visit home, I can see y'all!
I'll praying for the best!
