Santa Claus

This Christmas, I wanted to take Owen to see Santa, but I was dreading going to the mall. I can't stand how busy the mall gets and how rude people can be, especially if you think about why we even have the Christmas season to begin with. SO - some of our friends in our ward have a photography studio where they had THE BEST looking Santa "helper" ever. Real white beard and all!!!

Like many things, Owen likes to check out the scene before he commits. I wouldn't say he is a "slow to warm up" child, but he definately likes to make sure what's going on around him. At this particular moment, he was studying Santa intently. He wouldn't even sit on his lap until I gave Santa a hug. But although he was a bit skeptical, there were no tears!!

You would think looking at this picture that they have always been the best of friends!

And then there was Mrs. Claus... he loved Mrs. Claus!!! ;)

So, our camera hasn't been working lately. I think from the many beach outings we have gone on, some sand may have gotten into the lens. Unfortunately, these are the only Christmas-like pictures we have this year. We used the cam corder when opening presents and going to the grandparents. At least we have that.
