The apple tree that used to be on the right side of the yard was transplanted to the left to make room for the retaining wall and the garden. Now we just need to stake it to the ground to make sure it starts growing straight since the "men" didn't notice that little detail when they planted it. :) There was also a second tree to the left of the bigger one that we took down. It was dead and taking up too much space!

We also took another tree down to the left of this tree too. It was just too cramped and it looks so much better now that this big one is on it's own! We have planted many trees, plants and flowers, but I will have to take more pics another time to spotlight them when they are more in bloom and the sun is out!

The right side of this pic and beyond will be where our garden will grow. We planted tomatoes, cucumber and bell peppers, but with all the rain and getting them in the ground maybe a few weeks late, I'm not sure if anything will become of our "garden" this year.

Owen with his "chovels" helping out in the yard. It was actually a sunny day this day, hence the no clothes...

My two studs!! Owen always wants to do everything Daddy is doing. It's pretty funny watching him drag the shoved behind him or a large branch of tree that was pruned, all because that's what Daddy is doing!

The yard is looking great, I am very jealous of your trees!! and your garden!! Everyhting I try to grow here the sun kills. I love all the pics and getting a quick update of you guys!!! Love you all, hugs and kisses from all of us to all of you!!
Wow...your backyard is coming along really nice! So funny that we're both doing backyard renovations this summer. Or is it funny? :) Nonetheless, it's rewarding once it's done. I barely recognized the yard with all the improvements - I love the retaining wall! Great job!
